Rabab Saleh is a PhD candidate at the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU). Her doctoral research examines how frugal innovations contribute to the sustainable development.
She has a master’s degree in Development Economics and International Studies from the Institute of Economics at the FAU. In her master’s thesis she examined the political economy of the energy transition in the Middle East and focused on Jordan as a case study. She also holds a master’s degree in Management, Strategies and Organization and a bachelor’s degree in English literature (both from Damascus University, Syria).
Her main research interest is on “frugal innovations for sustainability” and she focuses on the renewable energy sector. Also, she is concerned with issues of the energy transition management.
