From August 2018 to March 2019 Josef Schütz worked at the Chair of Technology Management at FAU and manages the business development of Grino, a start-up at founding stage developing an innovative way of solar-based water desalination.
After his apprenticeship as bank clerk he studied business and economics at FAU with major in business administration including the completion of the study area “technology, innovation & entrepreneurship”. Next to an additional focus on finance he was member of the board in the student association “Börsen- und Wertpapierverein Nürnberg e.V.” with more than 600 members, which he is still promoting as Member of Advisory Board.
During his studies he worked as intern (assurance) at PwC Munich, as working student for Sonnen GmbH (product consultant renewable energy) and at the Chair of Prof. Brem. Furthermore, he gained international experience during his exchange semester at Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico-City.
In 2019, he withdrew from the Chair to focus on his role as Co-Founder and CFO at Grino.
Josef Schütz’ key activities were the promotion and organization of activities and events around the topics entrepreneurship and R&D management including a teaching assignment of the Entrepreneurship Exercise and founding consultation.
