Christine Wimschneider was PhD candidate at the Chair of Technology Management at the Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.
From 2008 to 2011 she did a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at the University of Regensburg. During her masters in International Business Studies at the FAU she already worked as student assistant for Prof. Alexander Brem, who held an assistant professorship at that time. Since graduating from the university in 2015 Christine Wimschneider has been Innovation Manager at a family-owned business in the communications and electronic industry. There she has been involved in Corporate Foresight activities, the development and improvement of the innovation process as well as Open Innovation initiatives.
Christine Wimschneider could gain experience abroad through a semester at the Université Paris Dauphine in Paris and a research stay for the data collection within the Master thesis at the Universidad Católica und Técnica Federico Santa María in Santiago de Chile.
Research Interest
Her main research area is constraint-based innovation, especially frugal and reverse innovation in the context of Latin America. This contains in particular research questions concerning the BoP (Bottom of the pyramid), social innovation, entrepreneurship and emerging markets.
Methodologically, Christine Wimschneider is especially interested in experimental designs.
